General

What is included in the wedding DJ package?

A specialist wedding DJ playing the music that you like based on what you tell us during our music-planning stage. We bring a powerful & dynamic sound system with a light show designed for weddings. We also include a comprehensive guidance service when it comes to your wedding music and key moments during your evening reception. We’ll help plan things like your first dance and the cutting of the cake, and advise on the best timings.

Custom First Dance Edit

Our Signature DJ Package includes the creation of a custom edit for your first dance. This can be a professionally edited transition from an acoustic cover to the original track, or the original version mixed into a dance remix. We can even create a medley or megamix of multiple songs for an elaborate, choreographed first dance. We’re open to all ideas. Please note that we require at least one month’s notice for these requests, as they are time-consuming and may require multiple revisions.

Daytime Music Advice

With our Signature DJ Package, we offer Daytime Music Advice. Whether you need a Spotify playlist for your wedding breakfast or a shortened version of your aisle walk song, we’re here to help. We can provide assistance with any music-related aspects of your wedding day. Check out our example Spotify Playlists that you can use here.

How long does it take a wedding DJ to set up?

We will set up within your venues given “turnaround time”. This is usually one hour long and starts when your wedding breakfast finishes. We take around 45 minutes to set up the equipment and soundcheck (give or take 10 minutes depending on access restrictions), plus around 5 to 10 minutes get changed and move the van. We will work with your venue directly to arrange for access times and pack down times.

Are there any additional or hidden costs?

Nope! The prices we quote are all-inclusive for the package you choose. We don’t charge additional travel costs, sneak in RPI increases, or sneak an expensive meal requirement into the contract. The price we quote you is the price you will pay for our wedding DJ service.

When do we need to pay?

We ask for a deposit of 25% to secure and confirm your wedding booking. The remaining balance is then due no later than 30 days before your wedding day. You can also choose to pay for your wedding DJ package in instalments if this would be easier for you.

How far in advance should I contact you?

We recommend reaching out to us as soon as possible, typically a year in advance, as our availability tends to fill up quickly. The earlier you get in touch, the better your chances of securing your desired date and avoiding disappointment.

What DJ experience do you have?

We’re masters of our craft! We have experience in performing at a variety of wedding styles, from modern to traditional, classic to bohemian. Individually, we have around 15 years of experience each in a variety of settings from rowdy student nights to classy weddings.

Is your DJ equipment safe and insured?

Yes! All of our equipment is safety tested regularly with PAT certification. We hold £10,000,000 Public Liability Insurance too. Most venues already have our certificates on file so you won’t need to middle-man with this, and if they don’t then we can liaise directly with them so it’s one less thing for you to worry about.

Music & Planning

Can you play overtime?

Usually, yes. But if it’s a last minute decision at midnight then it will be at your wedding DJ’s discretion. Usually, this won’t be a problem though and our overtime rates can be found within our Wedding DJ brochure.

Do you talk over the music?

Nope! Our style is to let the music do the talking. We believe there’s nothing more cringe than a wedding DJ who is trying to be comedian on the microphone, it’s not Butlins, it’s your wedding day. We do announce and introduce the cutting of the cake, your first dance, the evening food, and the last song of the night. But, aside from these moments, we really don’t talk on the mic much at all, if at all.

Do you take breaks while DJing?

No. We DJ live from start to finish with no breaks. We may disappear briefly to run (literally) to the toilet, but we’ll be back in time to mix in the next track.

Do we need to feed the DJ at our wedding?

No. If we’re only DJing for your evening wedding reception then your wedding DJ will typically have something to eat before they arrive. Or if it’s an all-day wedding, they will bring their own food. Unless of course you offer to provide a meal. But we will never ask or imply this, this is totally at your discretion and we don’t hide it within our contracts as an extra cost.
